MasterChef Australia

 MasterChef Australia

MasterChef Australia is an Australian competitive cooking game show based on the original British MasterChef. MasterChef Australia airs five nights a week from Sunday to Thursday. Each night features a different episode format, however some episodes modify the format slightly. The typical episode formats are as follows:

Sunday is the Challenge night.

Monday episodes feature the Pressure Test.

Tuesday episodes feature the Immunity Challenge

Wednesday features a Team Challenge.

Thursday is another Elimination.

Back To Win Episodes

For series 12, the weekly format was modified to air a Team Challenge on Mondays, Pressure Tests on Tuesdays, Mystery Box on Wednesdays, Immunity Challenge on Thursdays and an All-In Elimination Challenge on Sundays. While an Immunity Pin was offered in the first challenge of the season, the Pins (as a regular weekly feature) were replaced with "Weekly Immunity", granting a contestant safety from the week's All-In Elimination, which involved all contestants except for one immune contestant. Immunity Challenges no longer involved competing against well-known chefs (hence there being no need for a mentor), and instead involved one or two challenge rounds which contestants progressed through to win Immunity. This format is also used in series 13.

MasterChef is my favourite cooking show. My aunt and I, sit in the hall with some snacks, relax and watch the tv show… The food we eat and the memories related to it takes us to a place called Nostalgia. In every season of MasterChef, there is a dish that many greats failed to do properly… that is none other than Panna Cotta, it indeed is a tough dish to master. The three judges are Melissa Leong, Jock Zonfrillo and Andy allen. Andy Allen is the winner of MasterChef Australia season 4.. I’ve only watched season 12 and am still watching season 13. Reynold, Therese, Jess Lemon, Laura Sharrad, Depinder are my fav contestants. Of course, Emelia Jackson, the queen of choux pastry, is my favourite… (Pretty much for everyone)

MasterChef Junior Australia

Kids can cook like that?! Was the reaction I had when I watched it.. Georgia was the winner of the Master Junior Australia season 3. Filo, Carter, Georgia. It was a big fancy grand finale. They were all in fancy attires, there was an orchestra and the moms of the three were invited. Georgia said “Which silly person decided to invite our parents” in pressure- her mom got to her. It was a three round grand final. First round Entre, second round main and third round dessert. In the dessert round Georgia brought up the dish “Tropical Mess”. It was really a Tropical Mess, the presentation didn’t come as per plan as the elements didn’t set well. But, that's the dish that made her win. The judges said “ When we asked ourselves which dish we wanted to eat again, we all agreed’. The cuisine that Georgia chose was Sri Lankan (she was part Sri Lankan). There was also a girl named Laura who is a very ambitious girl, she had a restaurant name, a menu all planned out for the future. I remember she made a dish with Fennel. The challenge was that if you pick a vegetable you have to do a sweet dish, if you pick a fruit you have to do a savoury dish. The judges were pretty doubtful of Laura’s dish, because she said that one of the elements is blueberry- it has a stronger flavour than fennel. Fennel has a very mild flavour. But Laura was sure that both the items complimented each other and was she right!! The judges loved the dish!!!!! MasterChef is a great way to improve your knowledge on cuisines and techniques. GO TO HOTSTAR AND START WATCHING!!!
